Top New Country Music Releases This Week – 21/10/2019

Here are some of the top new releases for the week of 21-10-2019.

All of this week’s new tracks are also on our New Release Round-up playlist on Spotify, along with every other song we’ve included in this feature during the year so far. The playlist is at the bottom of the page – if you’re a Spotify user, give it a follow!

The Cadillac Three – Long After Last Call

In the week that they were announced as one of the main stage acts for the C2C Country To Country 2020 festival, TC3 announced a new album, Country Fuzz, to be released on 7th February 2020. 16 tracks on the album, including new songs Back Home and this one, showing the softer, more romantic side to their repertoire while still keeping the rock rolling. “Let me be them strings on that ol’ guitar | Sweet melody kissin’ your heart | Makin’ love to your soul like rock ‘n’ roll | Long after last call”.

Jarrod Dickenson – Sit With Me A While(Acoustic)

Jarrod will soon be in the UK again, playing 13 shows through November and December on his “Unplugged & Distilled” tour. This track is a great example of what to expect from these intimate, acoustic shows in small venues. Some shows are already sold out, but there’s still a few tickets for other dates. If there’s one near you, do yourself a favour and take a little time out with the Texan – tickets available here.

Stoney LaRue – Message In A Bottle

Texas born, Oklahoma raised, Stoney LaRue’s new album Onward is due to drop next month. If this track is anything to go by, it’ll be worth finding. Pedal steel and piano give this song about the end of a relationship a real bar room feel. You can just picture him sitting with a bottle and a glass, alone.

Tanner Usrey – Medicine Man

We featured Tanner Usrey’s track Come Back Down on last week’s roundup. It’s taken from his debut EP Medicine Man which is released today (October 25th). The title track from the EP shows a different side to Usrey, it’s a harder piece with a classic southern rock vibe. Great stuff.

Kylie Frey – One Night In Tulsa

When you hear Kylie Frey’s voice, you’ll know why Shania Twain picked her out on USA Network’s Real Country talent show. She has a classic 80’s/90’s country sound and One Night In Tulsa, a song about the yearning of separation, showcases it so well.

Zack Walther Band – D F W

Zack Walther Band are a roots rock trio from New Braunfels, Texas – north-east of San Antonio. Their new album The Westerner is out today (25th October) and shows their mix of country, rock and rhytm ‘n’ blues. D F W (Down For Whatever) is a great opener to the album, with a stomping beat, crunching guitars and Walther’s soul-tinged vocals.
