The skies might have been grey but Tennessee Fields country music festival lit up the Essex countryside on Saturday.
The last minute loss of visiting US artist Jessica Lynn (due to Covid complications) failed to dampen the spirits of the crowd and Jade Helliwell ably stepped up to take her place with a band ‘thrown together at the last minute’, including fellow performer Kezia Gill.
Early acts on the main stage included Gareth Nugent, Lucy Blu and Jake Morrell, while Tim Prottey-Jones was a popular choice on the CountryLine Acoustic Stage.
Look out for interviews to follow this week from Tim and Essex County band – three brothers from Essex who have really cracked the Nashville scene – and find out what they’ve been up to lately.
