Following on from their heartfelt second single, “You, Me, and Jesus”, Michael Boris & AC Jones are open about their love for each other and how they feel like they were always destined to be together. New release “Would’ve Met You Anyway” is a light-hearted look back at some of their sliding doors moments.

“It’s always fun to look back and think: “If we hadn’t met the way that we did, is it possible we could’ve met in some other way?” Perhaps, instead of a dinner at Country Radio Seminar, we would’ve met in the same grocery store we frequented, or, if AC had ended up enrolling in Vanderbilt for grad school, we would’ve seen each other every day at Bongo Java – a coffee shop Michael always visited to work on charts and touring schedules. When two hearts feel so connected in every way, it is near impossible to believe that you never would have met if one part of your story didn’t play out the way that it did.”

The production on this new release is as authentic as it comes. AC & Michael both wanted to create a song with an up beat “hoedown” feel and the recording of actual foot stomping on the wooden floor of the studio is testament to the desire for veracity that permeates all of Arbor North’s music. The fiddle (played by Kyle Pudenz) and the banjo (played by Charles Butler) are given the freedom to shine and the result is a true barn dance style track. The “funky” breakdown on the bridge bursts out into a full blown fiery instrumental, reminiscent of the early 2000-2010s rock country of Dierks Bentley and Luke Bryan.

Overall, Arbor North wanted this release to have a balance between bright and gritty, with a tone that made it a feel-good song all around. “Would’ve Met You Anyway” is written and produced by Arbor North and will be a crowd-delighting song for them to perform during their tour of the UK, beginning next month.

Arbor North will be performing at the following shows:
