Suffolk’s Maverick Festival has just revealed award-winning American songwriter Tom Russell as the first name out of the hat for its 2023 line-up.
Held at Easton Farm Park, near Woodbridge, over the weekend of June 30 and July 1 & 2, this fabulous festival attracts Americana and roots music artists from across the UK and US.
Tom Russell’s songs have been covered by everyone from Johnny Cash to Nanci Griffith and K. D. Lang, and his appearance at the Maverick Festival looks to be part of a UK tour, for which (according to his website) dates have yet to be announced.
The festival includes performances, talks and workshops from over 50 different acts throughout the weekend and has regularly featured in best festival guides.
